3x NCAA Champion

Katie McLaughlin has been a name in the American swimming world since high school when she qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials at the age of 14. By the time she graduated high school she was the 7th ranked recruit in the country for the class of 2015. During her freshman year at Cal she injured her neck, causing her to sit out most of the season. This didn’t deter McLaughlin; it only reinforced her love of swimming and encouraged her to work hard to get back in the water.
After her set back she won several NCAA titles as a member of Cal’s 400 and 800 Freestyle relays and 400 Medley relay. She also earned 2nd place in the 200 fly at the NCAA Championships in 2016 just one year after her neck injury. Since college she has competed in the inaugural season of the ISL for LA Current.
