Jack Cartwright is an Australian sprint freestyle specialist who lives and trains in Queensland under coach Dean Boxall. Cartwright’s swimming career first garnered attention in 2016 when he won four gold medals at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships. Just one year later, he qualified for his first senior level international meet when he made the 2017 World Championships team. In the prelims of the 100 free, he swam a blistering 47.97, a time that remained #7 in the world that year. He was just 19 at the time. Cartwright continued making strides at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships when he tied for silver in the 100 free. His time of 48.22 was #11 in the world for 2018.
